About Foxy Production

Foxy Production’s mission is to foster artists that are distinctive and challenging, both aesthetically and conceptually. Gallery artists, including Hany Armanious, Jimmy Baker, Michael Bell-Smith, Olga Chernysheva, Violet Hopkins, David Noonan, Ester Partegas, Sterling Ruby, the collective Paper Rad, and Yuh Shioh-Wong have exhibited widely at art centers and museums and have been written about in national and international newspapers, magazines, and catalogues.

Besides its core exhibition program, the gallery has presented the Dare performance series (2005) curated by Lauren Cornell; it has curated a two-part video screening at Tate Britain (2003); and it has presented artist curated group exhibitions such as Soft Cell (2003) by Ester Partegàs; The Infinite Fill Show (2004) by Cory Arcangel; Autonomy (2005) by Sterling Ruby; and Networked Nature (2007) by Marisa Olson for Rhizome, an affiliate of the New Museum of Contemporary Art.

Foxy Production inaugurated its gallery program in January 2003 after completing a series of curated exchange projects between London and New York. The gallery opened in a store-front space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and then moved to Manhattan’s Chelsea district in September 2003.
