About Marianne Boesky Gallery

Marianne Boesky Gallery was founded in 1996 in SoHo, New York City. Since its inception the Gallery’s mission has been to represent and support the work of emerging international artists of all media. The Gallery’s first generation of artists, such as Sarah Sze, Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara, has gone on to enjoy significant international acclaim, as has the Gallery’s second group of artists brought on between 1999-2001, such as Rachel Feinstein, Barnaby Furnas, Liz Craft and Donald Moffett. Since 2001 the Gallery has added several artists with strong existing careers to the program including Sue de Beer, John Waters and most recently, Alexander Ross. In concert with the Gallery’s move to its new ground floor home designed by Deborah Berke and Partners on West 24th Street in Chelsea, the Gallery has again focused on its original and ongoing mission by adding six recent art school graduates to its roster of artists.
