About Massimo Audiello

With his Soho gallery, Massimo Audiello was instrumental in the growth of the careers of such artists as McDermott McGough, Adam Fuss, Christian Eckart, Jonathan Lasker and Saint Claire Cemin. He also collaborated in projects with Louise Bourgeois, Alex Katz, Francesco Clemente, Felix Gonzales Torres, to name just a few.

In 1991 he closed his Greene street gallery to work in theater, writing, directing and performing. All the while he continued to write art criticism and text for exhibition catalogues. Then in 1998 Massimo Audiello reopened his current gallery in Chelsea, where he began once again to promote young emerging artists in the style that had always been his trade mark.
